Over time, our TINIHAVEN has served so many purposes, an office, a game room, a quiet place for school work, a chill out space for reading and watching movies, kids’ hang out, yoga studio, and so much more. This small space has had a hugely positive impact on our lives. We felt there are others with a need like ours, so TINIHAVEN was born.

OUR STORY
The first TINIHAVEN was designed and built for our family’s need for a quiet office space while working from home, while we were all working from home. Having limited space in our current home meant we needed to expand. Being a 20+ year Bay Area contractor building homes and ADU’s, I knew a home addition or an ADU would be a long and very expensive process. After some discussion we realized we just needed a small space, adaptable to our needs as our family grows and works, and changes. I decided to build a small studio in the backyard instead, and SKYE was born. The idea was build it quickly, keep costs low, and most importantly, small enough that a permit would not be required. Shortly after completion, we realized how important this space has become to our family.
